A Brief Review Of the Obama Presidency So Far

Do you LOVE America?

    Share

    Are we better off today?

We can’t help but be discouraged about the economic, fiscal and political state of our country.

It is believed by many of those in positions of power that these trillion dollar stimulus and bailout commitments -which in reality are nothing more than pulling forward billions of hours of time and energy of millions of Americans, most not yet born – will somehow resolve the crisis in which we find ourselves. Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is, every time Congress passes a new law, every time Treasury borrows more money, every time we involve ourselves in another foreign military conflict, more of our country is enslaved to the socio- and psychopaths who think only of their own personal accumulation of wealth and power.

The only way out – and it’s a long shot – is to reset Congress and the Presidency. We can try to vote them out, but this strategy has seen limited success, at best.

We fear that as things continue to spiral out of control, as Americans become poorer and the aristocrats get richer, as Americans realize their votes really don’t matter and the influence of corporate lobbies increases, we may very well see Americans on the streets of our major cities rioting over their inability to acquire jobs, food or shelter for their families.

These will be trying times for us all.

      1. No secret the corp is bent on killing itself so those who depend on it will die and those who have used it for a criminal enterprise for nearly 100 years can pick up what they have yet to steal on the cheap.

If your not a part of or dependent on the corp, all you have to do is stay out of the way of those who are.

        • GC, you know I know what you mean. Lets play out a little exchange. You play the “Man of Wisdom” and I’ll play “Ignorant Sheople”. I’ll try to ask the most infuriating questions that come out of the sheople. In the process we might be able to educate some of these people.

          Here we go!

What? The “corp”??? What are you talking about? What “corp”? Wal-Mart? GE? How am *I* dependent on the corp? This isn’t some kind of “God” or “Jesus” thing is it?

          • Ranger,

I can’t play that game. Takes too much time, and wouldn’t help a single sheep. They must seek the answers themselves when they awaken. Only then are they worth speaking to about it.

          • Here’s the short and sweet of it. I think the source should be considered pretty reliable.

            UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT
            DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA v. THOMPSON CO., 346 U.S. 100 (1953)

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA v. JOHN R. THOMPSON CO., INC.

            Argued April 30, May 1, 1953.
            Decided June 8, 1953.

            1. Under Art. I, 8, cl. 17 of the Federal Constitution, Congress had power to delegate its lawmaking authority to the Legislative Assembly of the municipal corporation created by the Organic Act of 1871 for the government of the District of Columbia. Pp. 104-110.

            (c) The Constitution does not preclude delegation by Congress to the District of Columbia of full legislative power, subject to constitutional limitations to which all lawmaking is subservient and to the power of Congress at any time to revise, alter, or revoke the authority granted. Pp. 108-109.

      2. it is to late for a recovery to the lifestyles and an america we remember as being good. We are in a state of collapse on every realistic and measurable level. Thank God we have nukes pointed at our foes or we would really have to be concerned about old school military invasions to boot. I tell my kids “PREPARE,PREPARE AND BE AWARE”.

      3. Voting seems like an antiquated idea,we just do it for $hits and giggles and also just to argue with the opposite party.

So the hell with the top, like political leaders and the wealthy and lets start at the bottom with families, friends and community and take control of our own way of life.., and just maybe we can influence the big guys.

      4. The only way we have any semblance of self determination, is to seperate ourselves from the system as much as possible. Except at local levels, voting is an exercise in futility. The PTB own all the canadiates. If they aren’t corrupt when they make it to the national level, they will be corrupt before they leave. The powers that be care not who wins, as they contribute and control both major party candidates. Third party candidates don’t have a chance in a two party system. You vote for death, or destruction, take your pick.
And to maddog77 in referance to our nukes. I worry more about our country staging a false flag nuke event on us, that other countries shooting a nuke at us. And so far, the total economic destruction being waged on us by our fascist government, is doing the job of total annilation without any need for anything else. But, in order to drive that last nail into the control coffin, I still look for some type of false flag event soon.
Except for what prep we can do for ourselves, as a country, we are basically screwed.

      5. I’ve already made up my mind. My vote will be for Howard Caine in the primary. If you don’t feel like your vote counts, vote absente for Bugs Bunny and give them a good laugh. Better yet make some comments on your ballot.

      6. You fucking idiot. Are you seriously trying to argue that this is all Obama’s fault? Seriously? Have you been asleep for the last three decades? Were you complaining when the Patriot Act was created? Were you complaining when Bush cut taxes on the top 1% (which Obama just continued, so why are you complaining?) while fighting two wars, one under a false premise? Under Obama, we have retained almost every aspect of Bush’s policies. Don’t play this political bullshit game. There is one party. And the tea-baggers or whatever the fuck they call themselves, represent the dumbest, most sheeplike qualities of modern America. Get off it! Use your fucking head.

        • I can tell you have some true grit Charlie. Some people here are offended by trashy words. I’m not. They haven’t seen shit hitting the fan. I have. It’s just letters on a screen. I don’t speak that way in public but I have high hopes for you. Looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts.

        • Charlie, what a crock you’re full of! Bush took our national debt from $5 Trillion to $10 Trillion in 8 years. Obama took it from $10 Trillion to $14.3 Trillion in 2 years. Get over it. Dems are as much, or more, to blame for this mess than the Repubs. Dems want to give everyone a fish; repubs want to teach them to fish. Big difference in giving someone something rather than making them earn it. All the teaparty wants to do is get back to the idea of “you don’t work, you don’t eat”. As for tax cuts for the “rich”, the top 1% of taxpayers pay 40% of the entire tax burden. Over 50% of the working people in this country pay NO income taxes, but yet they vote themselves “free” benefits paid by the “rich”. Get off the backs of the “rich”, they pay FAR more than their “fair” share. We pay people not to work, we pay farmers not to plant, we pay unions to destroy businessess, we pay trial lawyers to rape our businesses, and then we tax our business owners at around 50% (including state taxes) and we wonder why in the world they would want to leave this country and open up factories overseas. DUH! Wake up you liberal clown!

          • The Economy crashed under Bush, not Obama. Do I blame Bush only? No. It was a long, long time coming because of the belief that something can come from nothing and “voodoo economics” as Bush Sr. called it. Tarp was initiated by Bush. Obama has turned out to be more Bush than Bush by continuing the same policies. If you liked Bush then I don’t now why you’re complaining.

Further, on this Memorial Day the wards of Walter Reed are filled with people whose lives are changed forever by a war that didn’t need to happen. Bush should be hanging from a rope and every citizen that turned over their rights while handing over their children to war while whistling some syrupy Lee Greenwood song should go to a sink now and wash the blood off their hands. Get it through your thick skull. Your were lied to and you fell for it. Shit happens. Unfortunetly, a hell of lot of people died for it. So fuck off and go put some flowers on a soldiers grave.

            • I agree with Charlie, throwing big O under the bus without W. Is downright dirty. Both are nothing but sheer puppets, bush taking it up the a$$ from his little cabinet and Dick “is that a deer?” Cheney as well as obamas wall street clique. It’s sad moronic Americans can vote for these morons without feeling sick at night. They don’t give a damn about this country, and yet rednecks and misguided African Americans wave flags or make outrageous shirts proclaiming skin color as pride in the oval office. Gmafb. Btw 6 month reader, first time commenter.

        • Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

      7. Charlie,

I think you need to post your little rant on the HuffPo where the where the dumbest sheeples dwell. I’m sure the tea-baggers there may have a thing or two to tell you. You do know the difference between a tea-bagger and a Tea Partier, right? Judging by your rant, I’d say you don’t. The Tea-Partiers are little more switched on the your typical Obama supporter. At least Tea Partiers know things are screwed up. The problem is that they still believe their vote matters. Obama supporters still think he’s going to save them.

      8. When will Obama crack in public?

At a time when many Americans can barely afford Burger King and a movie, Obama boasts of spending a billion dollars on his re-election campaign. Questioned at a recent appearance about the spiraling fuel costs, Obama said, “Get used to it” – and with an insouciant grin and chortle, he told another person at the event, who complained about the effect high fuel prices were having on his family, to “get a more fuel-efficient car.”

The Obamas behave as if they were sharecroppers living in a trailer and hit the Powerball, but instead of getting new tires for their trailer and a new pickup truck, they moved to Washington. And instead of making possum pie, with goats and chickens in the front yard, they’re spending and living large at taxpayer expense – opulent vacations, gala balls, resplendent dinners and exclusive command performances at the White House, grand date nights, golf, basketball, more golf, exclusive resorts and still more golf.

Expensive, ill-fitting and ill-chosen wigs and fashions hardly befit the first lady of the United States. The Obamas have behaved in every way but presidential – which is why it’s so offensive when we hear Obama say, in order “to restore fiscal responsibility, we all need to share in the sacrifice – but we don’t have to sacrifice the America we believe in.”

The American people have been sacrificing; it is he and his family who are behaving as if they’ve never had two nickels to rub together – and now, having hit the mother lode, they’re going to spend away their feelings of inadequacy at the taxpayers’ expense.

Why do modern liberals think and act as they do? Find out in Dr. Lyle Rossiter’s book, “The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.”

Obama continues to exhibit behavior that, at best, can be described as mobocratic and, at worst, reveals a deeply damaged individual. In a February 2010 column, I asked, “Is Obama unraveling?” I wrote that it was beginning to appear the growing mistrust of him and contempt for his policies was beginning to have a destabilizing effect on him.

At that time, I wrote that not having things go one’s way can be a bitter pill, but reasonable people don’t behave as he was behaving. He had insulted Republicans at their luncheon, where he had been an invited guest. I had speculated that was, in part, what had led him to falsely accuse Supreme Court justices before Congress, the nation and the world, during the 2010 State of the Union address.

It appeared, at that time, as if he were “fraying around the emotional edges.” That behavior has not abated – it has become more pronounced. While addressing the nation, after being forced to explain the validity of his unilateral aggression with Libya, America witnessed a petulant individual scowling and scolding the public for daring to insist he explain his actions.

But during an afternoon speech to address the budget/debt, he took his scornful, unstable despotic behavior to depths that should give the nation cause for concern. Displaying a dark psychopathy more representative of an episode of “The Tudors” television series, he invited Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., to sit in the front row during his speech and then proceeded to berate both Ryan and Ryan’s budget-cutting plan. Even liberal Democrats were put off by the act. MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough questioned the sanity of Obama’s actions.

Today, criticism is coming from all sides. A senior Democrat lawmaker said, “I have been very disappointed in [Obama], to the point where I’m embarrassed that I endorsed him. It’s so bad that some of us are thinking, is there some way we can replace him? How do you get rid of this guy?” (“Democrats’ Disgust with Obama,” The Daily Beast, April 15, 2011)

Steve McCann wrote: Obama’s speech “was chock full of lies, deceit and crass fear-mongering. It must be said that [he] is the most dishonest, deceitful and mendacious person in a position of power I have ever witnessed” (“The Mendacity of Barack Obama,” AmericanThinker.com, April 15, 2011).

McCann continued: “[His] performance was the culmination of four years of outright lies and narcissism that have been largely ignored by the media, including some in the conservative press and political class who are loath to call [him] what he is in the bluntest of terms: a liar and a fraud. That he relies on his skin color to intimidate, either outright or by insinuation [against] those who oppose his radical agenda only add to his audacity. It is apparent that he has gotten away with his character flaws his entire life, aided and abetted by sycophants around him. …”

With these being among the kinder rebukes being directed at Obama, and with people becoming less intimidated by his willingness to use race as a bludgeon, with falling poll numbers in every meaningful category and an increasingly aggressive tea-party opposition – how much longer before he cracks completely?

The coming months of political life are not going to be pleasant for Obama. Possessed by a self-perceived palatine mindset, that in his mind places him above criticism, how long before he cracks in public? Can America risk a man with a documented track record of lying and misrepresenting truth as a basic way of life, who is becoming increasingly more contumelious?

      9. You voted for him goldenfoxx but you have restored my hopes. I hope he trips down the stairs to “my” AF1.

      10. I still remember ‘Beloved Leader Obama’ looking us right in the eye and stating, without recourse. that the very first thing that he would if elected to the office of POTUS would be to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and bring our troops home. Didn’t happen, now did it?

They all tell you whatever you want to hear in order to get elected, then they go ahead and do whatever the hell they feel like doing. Or is it whatever their corporate masters tell them to do?

The only buffer standing between the elites and the poor/lower classes used to be the middle class. Now that there is almost no middle class left, who is going to protect the elites? I don’t think that the cop who just took a 15% pay cut is going to be very willing to put his life on the line for the people who just finished taking money out of his back posket. Is the military who watches their brothers & sisters loose a couple of legs and then have to fight for a lousey 30% diaability going to step forward to protect the elites? Probably not!

The times that we live in promise to become very interesting in the very near future.

God Bless & good luck to you and your families.

      11. Obama is a dumbass.

      12. Zero is a foreign born illegal alien usurping fraud, who’s allegiances are to Islam, and for kicks he likes to get medicated and enjoy a sodomy fest.

Of course, McCain, as was Roger Calero (all on 2008 Pres ballot) born on foreign soil as well. But the media isn’t reporting much these days dontcha know.

The larger issue is the rule of law. It’s being destroyed.

        In it’s place?

        The rule of man.

Welcome to the law of the jungle kids. You ready?

Pick your target — a corrupted hack mainstream media propaganda machine, elite ruling class in both parties.

Put out a blatantly forged birth certificate. Hell, write something down in crayon on toilet paper, hack media and ruling elite could care less. Mum is the word. You see, coordination is so much more profitable than competition, oversight.

This country is going to suffer.

      13. Bush got us into two unwinnable wars that will go on for decades, he is a Huge Dumbass.

        • Don’t forget “Harry” that Bush got “us” into those two wars with about 95% of the senate and 75% of the House voting for it also. And, about 80% of the American people. Bush, the House, the Senate, and the American people got “us” into two wars.

My point is, we’re all to blame. Obama had a chance to get us out and chose not to, so he’s now to blame as well.

          • Harry forgot about that T.

      14. You’re talking about the 2nd one, right? How about the other one?

      15. They are all dumb asses.

      16. I like Obama.

We could debate all day long about why or why not like Obama, but in his short time in office he has not done worse than the Bushes, etc. He’s a handy scapegoat but the problem is way deeper than who wears the Big Shoes.

If you went over every presidency in modern history you could pick it apart and make them all look like assholes. You could also make them all look like Mother Theresa. Depends on what perspective you want to “prove”.

We all know that the POTUS really doesn’t make the decisions – he is just the one who announces them.

        • AMEN DAISY!Just what I have been thinking all along! Lets find solutions to the worlds problems not just complain about who’s fault they are!

      17. I’ve flushed better work down the toilet.

      18. @daisy….finally, someone gets it! thankyou dear…i was beginning to think i was the only one who believes that obama is merely the mouth and the people who surround him (inner cirlcle of socialists, commies, union bosses, etc..)are the ones really running the show. the doodoo has been hitting the fan for a long time-it is just starting to speed up some and before we know it the doodoo is gonna be flinging everywhere.

      19. The troops are fighting for our enslavement on this fake ass memorial day, today 10 years after 911, we have lost more freedoms, than at any other time in US history..

      20. research petrodollar collapse. it explains a lot. not even ron paul can fix what is coming.

        • Exactly Rachel, no politician is fixing this game. Doesn’t matter who is elected.

Spending spiraled out of control under Repubs for 6 years while they controlled Congress and the Presidency. They did nothing to control the border and protect “citizens” of the U.S. They did nothing to make the country energy independent as far as drilling and oil production or the promotion of new nuclear power plants. I look back over the last 15 years and see they’re(R’s & D’s)two sides of the same coin. It’s all a game and we’re the losers. We’re “subjects” and “serfs” to the “elite”. Look at the US Debt Clock and ask yourself, “When does it stop?”. It stops when there is a new world currency and a nwo. I completely lost any faith in Repubs to change things for the better. There are a handful of good politicians (I hope) but not nearly enough to make a difference.

There will be NO peaceful solution to our problems.

          • I couldn’t agree more. There are no good solutions, we’re just going to have to swallow this medicine. I think a financial collapse is inevitiable simply because of the way that we’ve structured the way that money works. We loan money (fiat currency) into existence, with interest, and no tangible backing. This leads to a compounding problem with only one rational outcome. I think it has to happen, the only question is when. It was done under republicans and democrats and it could collapse under either party and there’s nothing that can be done about. All solutions will be painful.

      21. That’s a wig??

      22. Let’s face it. Bush was truly bad and Zero is considerably worse.

Those with guns, ammo, gold, food, seeds and a plan should do OK. Those without a plan or a clue are….well….screwed.

        • Here, here! Good friends and neighbors will help also.

      23. “Youths” in Miami, Boston, Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, Nashville celebrating memorial day is a warm up to the summer fun to come.

Following the example of their dear leader Obama.

      24. The powers that be have the situation rigged. If a person is in the position of being a candidate, the powers have probably allowed it. It may not matter which candidate you choose, they will probably serve their master in power. This is a very sad day for Amreica.

PRAY, FAST and MAKE SACRIFICES We need big help. Down through history cities or nations who turned to God saw impossible situations become possible and their lives or nations saved. If you believe in God at all, this is the time to pray– a lot.
