The World Health Organization says that the chances of the globe suffering from a worldwide pandemic continue to increase. But along with the increased risk of a global outbreak is the fact that humanity is far from ready for it to happen.
If a similar situation to the Spanish Influenza outbreak of 1918 occurred now, instead of 50 million deaths, over 80 million could die. A global catastrophe of that magnitude could wipe out 5% of the population. “The world is not prepared,” the report from the Global Preparedness Monitoring Board (GPMB), co-convened by the World Bank and the World Health Organization (WHO), warned.
“For too long, we have allowed a cycle of panic and neglect when it comes to pandemics: we ramp up efforts when there is a serious threat, then quickly forget about them when the threat subsides. It is well past time to act.”
How to Prepare Your Home (Quarantine) For A Pandemic
While disease, epidemics, and pandemics have always existed, greater population density and the ability to travel anywhere in the world within 36 hours means disease can spread rapidly through a country and then go worldwide. The WHO report additionally warns that technological advancements can also provide the laboratory environments for new disease-causing microorganisms to be created, increasing the risk of a future global pandemic.
“All parts of society and the international community have made progress in preparing to face health emergencies, but current efforts remain grossly insufficient,” the report said. The WHO called for world leaders to take seven concrete actions to lessen the risk, including monitoring progress during international summits, creating multi-year disaster plans, strengthening United Nations coordination, and building preparation systems across all sectors.
But instead of relying on governments and the political ruling class to take care of you, why not prepare on your own? If you believe there’s a pandemic possible, perhaps instead of hoping there isn’t one, you should make sure you can survive.
You’ll want to hunker down in your home as soon as possible and keep it as clean as possible to reduce the risk of getting sick. You should also build a “quarantine kit” or “pandemic survival kit” with some necessary items. These are the items you’ll want if you and your family stay home and are not ill, and the ones you’ll need if someone does become infected.
Should a person get sick, you’ll need to create a “quarantine room” to care for that person while keeping everyone else safe.
Across the ages, in every survival story, a disaster of some sort plays a prominent role. Sometimes the part is played by the government, sometimes it is played by Mother Nature, and other times, the role is taken on by a random mishap. If we have learned one thing studying the history of disasters, it is this: those who are prepared have a better chance at survival than those who are not. A crisis rarely stops with a triggering event. The aftermath can spiral, having the capacity to cripple our normal ways of life. Because of this, it’s important to have a well-rounded approach to our preparedness efforts. Due to the overwhelming nature of preparedness, we have created the Prepper’s Blueprint to help get you and your family ready for life’s unexpected emergencies. To make a more comprehensive, easy-to-follow program, The Prepper’s Blueprint has been simplified and divided up in a way to help you make sense of all the preparedness concepts and supply lists provided. We have divided the chapters into layers of preparedness.

“The globe isn’t ready for a worldwide pandemic” Ya think?
In Medical situations you wear a N95 mask to protect others from you.
Why do see so many pictures of Asians wearing masks, it is because they are sick not to protect themselves from others,
high pollution levels excepted.
I use a 3M 6200 with 6001 organic, and 3M 6200 N95 particulate filters, fully suited with DuPont Dy122S(Tyvek) suit and Nitrile gloves when doing really dirty work.
I don’t worry too much about CBN attack. This is just my Boat painting stuff.
Aloha
The extinction rebellion are right: we are raping the planet. We need to lose at least 300 million to take the pressure off. The idea the world can get to 10 billion – most blacks – is insane.
At some point the world’s population needs to sustain itself and blacks do not invent, discover nor build.
People take the so many billion of people on this planet statistical number for granted. Nobody knows for sure and some analysts claim the figure is grossly exaggerated.
Have you ever tried to hang with an n95 mask in in 100 degree weather, like say, in the middle of july with all your doors taped shut and the windows closed… Pop up into your attic for an hour with that on and get a nice cool reality check. It will be soaked within a half hour and air will no longer pass through it. You can get the good 3m n95’s online amazonho for 15 bucks. And you’ll need a sharpie to write on them who’s who because you’ll cycle through them in a heartbeat.
Have you ever tried various duct tape on drywall and fire rated metal doors? You might want to make sure that actually sticks for more than a day, and of course, heat will soften the glue and cold will harden it, both conditions will diminish the glues necessary viscocity and holding power.
Have you checked your daily water consumption with your municipal provider? We get the little consumption letters and have efficiency rating through xcel energy. With even average consumption, we consume 360 gallons a day with a 4 person household, on average of course. Better keep a shovel ready for the impomptu outhouse you’ll need, but making a solar shower bag is relatively easy. If you’re concerned about water, dig out a contra hand use pcv pipe diy well today, there are cool ytb vids on how to do that. Conceal it in a shed or dog house.
Checked your P or J traps on your basement floor lately? Better pick up a few twist and crank cap plugs, like the kind used for water pressure testing, when the water dries out of the primary municipal line, that gas will flood into your home. Sure you want the windows closed? Don’t forget your fly swatter and make sure to never run out of toilet paper.
For those with the bug out bags, what are you going to live in the farmers field 40 miles north of you or wherever, with every other ‘prepper’? Your C class will run out of gas and where will you be when that happens? Shelter in place and do try your hand at gardening. Quarantine rooms won’t work, you’ll need to keep them in a tent or something. Hope you did not mix up your essential survival gear between your garage and interior of the home, that’s the most practical isolation which is the inevitable conclusion for most.
Don’t live in fear. Instead, live in hope. Trust in your abilities and trust in yourself. You won’t turn into a zombie, you’ll just get sick, and hopefully you’ll survive. Don’t panic.

MY,
I live on Catchment. I have lived on well water.
4 people is ~67 gallons drinking water per day, I’ve been doing this for 35 years and keeping track.
“With even average consumption, we consume 360 gallons a day with a 4 person household, on average of course”.
I have real numbers. I live in places that are wet, in excess of 70 inches of precipitation per year( we had 140 last year).
I have ~34,000 gallons potable water stored and daily over 10,000 gallons of gravity fed non-potable water available.
Location, Location, and Location.
My point is, get out of the CITY!
Buy land in a place that suits your needs.
Become independent of Democrat city dwellers.
There is a Netflix series about Bill Gates which goes into detail about his attempts to eradicate polio in Africa and India; and to stop children dying from diarrhea from drinking water polluted with human waste. He failed. Polio is up by 6 percent. His solution to sanitation is a toilet that costs $50,000 dollars. No, it isn’t made of gold. The toilet is too expensive to be practical. It turns waste into ashes and purifies water. It might be something Rockefeller and Prince Charles would have. Africans just need to be taught to compost their poop instead of dumping it into their streams and ponds.
As for Africans continuing to breed like rabbits, and allowing them into other Continents, that’s suicide for them and us. There will be famines, and there will be a world wide pandemic.
We must stop them. Soros is behind the scenes pushing mass migration of Africans into Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States. Soros is trying to Genocide white people in white nations. If not stopped, he will succeed. There will be a pandemic. It is inevitable.
.
They can’t even fix skid row. Let alone a planet full of plague.
Definitely the push is on to depopulate the planet, gmos working towards that goal. Mandated vaccinations ready to ramp up. The stranglehold of big pharma and big agriculture have been sorely underestimated. This is government policy. No, the people on the globe are not ready for what is coming.
Europe and USA, 1970-2019, population doubled, yet you say these governments want depopulation.
They even fly in illegals, bus them in, by train, boats, even luxury cruise ships.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA depopulation.
Perhaps they want to stop white people from having babies, that is more believable.
Whites. Down to 10% of the worldwide populace count, and falling.

My 2-bits for the day:
…
When referring to any ‘Event’, such as this one (pandemic), or any other, it would be wise to remember the one category that most forget about – Security. Otherwise, you should just open the doors and let them come in unimpeded.
Without security, you won’t be able to keep that supply of foods, meds, etc. You so t be able to keep your home containment system, contained. Etc. , etc., etc…
Whenever there is an ‘Event’, the first thing on your mind should be Security.
Everything else should come thereafter.
For those who don’t know the phrase: 2 bits

Respectfully, I beg to differ. Security is important, specifically for the preservation of life liberty property / prosperity. It is the desperation which could drive so many to the edge. 20 lb bags of rice sell this very day at bulk buy stores for a mere 10 to 20 dollars. Being capable of extending goodwill in a time of crisis is also a valid and effective situational management tactic. If people are desperate you won’t be able to turn a driveway into the local trader joe’s, but you could quite possibly find peaceful ways to de escalate scenarios with the gift or trade of modest food supplies. Imagine if the image of the prepper community was one of love rather than fear. Someone has to be prepared, why not us?
This summer, like several before, I had my little neices visit for 8 weeks. Three days after arriving the older tween came down with pink eye. We took her to emergency because her out of state insurance wouldn’t be accepted at any walkin clinics.
Previously we had insisted their mother get the daughters passports and the new passport ID cards, it took two years to convince the mother and process the paperwork, but with the death of the father and the mother having multiple marriages and names, we felt it important. It was. To admit her, the passport ID was critical. Moral of this subplot, you don’t need an ID to vote in America, but you do for medical treatment in an emergency ward.
The hospital confirmed it was Pink eye, and issued the standard antibiotic drops. I had to do the drops due to everyone else being medically useless. After a week the drops not only did little, but the infection spread to both eyes. It was a clear indication that it was Viral conjunctivitis not bacterial.
I researched it, turns out the viral form is very common, the name of the most common conjunctivitis virus is adenovirus-71.
Adenovirus as I researched it is very common, variants include polio, recent mutations may include the new polio like virus that is killing or paralyzingly children across the US. It is also what many call the summer flu.
In a nutshell put drops in your child’s eye for viral pink eye, and then touch you nose, and you get a summer cold. If you are a woman and you wipe yourself and adenovirus can cause a really nasty urinary infection. In all cases it can spread to other organs and even kill you.
More research, the optimum temperature for Adenovirus is 98 degrees, it loves people and hot summers, thus it is the major cause of the miss named summer flu.
More research, how to kill Adenovirus. I read medical research studies, turns out this crap is super sturdy. Hand sterilizer doesn’t work, Clorox wipes, ineffective, peroxide, useless. The best thing is multiple hand washing, as in wash, rinse, wash rinse, to remove as much live virus as possible, because antibacterial agents are just ineffective against it.
What is effective is heat. Washing clothing, sheets, pillowcases even in Clorox doesn’t kill the virus as effectively as setting the dryer on max heat. Hospitals need to use steam spray to kill this crap, it’s the only way. Wash hands in the hottest water you can stand, and wash multiple times.
This summer was a real lesson, and yes, because I was taking care of my infected niece, I did get it as a summer flu variant. It sucked and hung on for three weeks. The good side, theoretically I’m now immune to this species of adenovirus. There are about a hundred species of Adenovirus. All are scary.
Screw the flu, Adenovirus is the next big terrifying pandemic. I can kill the flu with alcohol, Clorox, or peroxide. If Adenovirus gets out with a fresh deadly mutation, and we are all screwed.
A detail I overlooked, Adenovirus can survive on common surfaces during summer temperatures for up to three months. It is scary hard to kill. Wipe your eye, sneeze into your hand and touch a door handle and it can survive on that store door handle for three months potentially infecting hundreds. Use the store provided hand sanitizer and you still will get it.
Wow, great information. Sounds like a vote for a hot water pressure washer to be included in standard supplies. I’ve been needing a pressure washer but they are expensive. If you want the ones which will also deliver heated water through various on demand coil heating systems the price can easily double. But they’re multi purpose durable items so the expense can be justified for daily life and hopefully you’ll never actually have to spray down your kitchen windows and door knobs, but it’s there if you need it. There is also the option of good old boiling water and one of those rubber gloves and a dish rag so you don’t burn yourself in the process.
You know what they say about hygiene. It’s better to have hygiene ahead of time whenever possible. A drop of prevention is worth an ounce of cure. We researched eye drops this past year for our daughter whom had brief pink eye. Vascular constriction is not what people want in time of eye health crisis, but that is the majority type of eye drops out there. Actual red eye medication is quite harsh and may not be effective. We had good response with simple saline solution meant for eye droppers, not the contact kind because that has chemicals. A pure de ionized water wash of the eye really helps and it only takes a few drops to lift away the majority of bacteria which may be lingering. A steaming hot rag press over the closed eye after helps pain relief and also acts as a partial disinfectant action. Daughters eye cleared right up in only a few days and although it was spreading to both, that’s when we took action for every few hour cleaning, hot rag over eyes, rest, and the condition cleared up quickly. And lots of hand washing for everyone involved. We like Dr Bronners pure castille bar soaps, they really cut through just about everything, with a clean rinse and minimal irritation associated. A tiny bit of that soap goes much further than most others so although higher in price, the soap presents better consumer value for daily use. Just don’t hold it under water or it disappears as you watch it. It’s the high solubility with no wax or residual matter left except for a little essential oil which makes it so effective.
Oh, good! Finally something that will kill us all.
That is what have been trying to do for a long time, but nothing has succeeded.
One of these days I’m going to quit drinking, quit smoking, and turn down my red meat consumption. Not today though.
