In the aftermath of Donald Trump’s election victory, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) spoke with the media about his plans once Trump is inaugurated.
When asked by a reporter how he plans to start to “clear out the corruption” in Washington, and particularly within federal agencies like the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Kennedy responded that “in some categories” he plans to fire everyone and close down entire departments.
“In some categories of worker, their entire departments – like the nutrition departments at the FDA – have to go,” Kennedy explained. “They’re not doing their jobs. They’re not protecting our kids.”
“Why do we have Froot Loops in this country that have 18 or 19 ingredients and you go to Canada and it’s got two or three?”
When then asked if he plans to eliminate entire agencies of the federal government, Kennedy responded that this is not possible without Congress giving it the green light.
“To eliminate the agencies, as long as it requires congressional approval, I wouldn’t be doing that,” he said. “Though I can get corruption out of the agencies – that’s what I’ve been doing for 40 years.”
“I’ve sued all those agencies – I have a PhD in corporate corruption – and that’s what I do. And once they’re not corrupt and honest Americans are getting good signs and are allowed to make their own choices, they’re going to get a lot healthier.”

Kennedy, by the way, is one of the best things about the incoming Trump administration. During Trump’s first term, Kennedy was involved only at a very periphery level, but this time around, things are starting to look a whole lot different.
“RFK Jr. going after the FDA?” one X / Twitter account in support of Trump tweeted. “That’s the kind of bold move America needs.”
The overall sentiment on X / Twitter, by the way, seems to be one of enthusiasm and support for what Kennedy plans to do. Cleaning up the food supply is something that both Republicans and Democrats want, after all.
“It’s time to make America healthy and happy again!” one person said, excited about the prospect of Kennedy making waves in Washington under Trump.
“Let the healing begin!” wrote another.
Others used the term “wrecking ball” to describe the type of reform they hope to see in Washington and all across the country as Trump, Kennedy and the rest get to work deconstructing the abominations of globalism that have robbed Americans of their lives, liberties and their pursuit of happiness.
“While Kennedy can’t personally do it, he could advise Donald Trump to clear out entire agencies,” someone else pointed out. “That’s part of the problem with last time.”
“It’s too difficult to eliminate individual positions in the swamp. You have to throw out entire departments.”
Concerning why so little seemed to happen during Trump’s first term, the following tweet suggests that last time around, the president-elect was missing a “loyal, driven, and selfless team to offload important initiatives to.”
“It’s been him, come what may,” this person added. “With the A team, that’s changed, and being a businessman and Patriot, I look for him to take full advantage of it. They’re young, sans Robert Kennedy, driven, Patriotic, team players.”
